SuperSharfy and Photography

SuperSharfy and his hobby!

I've been in love and very passionate (i guess?!?!?) with beautiful photographs even before i have my 1st DSLR camera.

During my high school days, i always bring with me my "Yashica" camera and do some shoots with friends and classmates. It was the best four years of my life being super active with student government, stage play, schools press conference, school clubs and other school related extra curricular activities. Being a student leader from high school days to college life i have collected priceless and beautiful photographs from western to northern part of Mindanao with my yashica camera. It is so sad that i get to stop what i love most due to demand of being a Nursing student and later as an OFW.

Late 2009, I was playing an online game called Friends For Sale when i bought a player named MJ Cachero, later i know that he's doing photography with such amazing works. I was invited to his open-shoot "Vision Possible", it was a day to treasure meeting amazing people with superb photography works.

a week after Vision possible i also get a chance to meet an extra extraordinaire multimedia artist Dense Modesto when i joined his "LOCKDOWN" open shoot.

Vision Possible, LOCKDOWN, COLOUR CODING and Navi - Avatar inspired open-shoot...... I am missing those days. This open-shoot events and meeting amazing people like Lem Estiva, Dense Modesto, Mj Cachero, Jay Santos, Bethoven Filomeno and many more made me think the difference of photographs i loved way-back my high school days. I may have stop doing my point and shoot habit but its not bad to start anew with the new "digital imaging and photography".

I made a promise to myself before i reached my one year here in Dubai i will have my first DSLR. I get so lucky to have the newly launch DSLR from Nikon the D7000. (Thanks for the 2010 blessings i'll have diversion of my homesickness taking photographs around Dubai during weekends^^)

D7000's 3 weeks on my hand is always on auto mode. And when i heard of OPPPS photography classes i immediately register with no hesitation to maximize the function of my D7000. It's a 10 Friday meetings from January 21 to march 25 for Basic Digital Photography classes.

I feel lucky that i belong to batch 22! experiences from outdoors is what i love most..... I am also thankful that in this batch i got the chance to meet friends during our night fun shoots of the Dubai Shopping Festival fireworks at Maktoum bridge. Gabby, Jeff and Robert together with Almer of CCD we may have 3 days of no fireworks but we get nice clouds (^^). Those nights became a habit that a group named 24|7 was formed (Gabby, Jeff, Earl, Janetine, Kissha, Robert, Rhey, Eza, Bheng, Chi, Lan and me).

OPPPS batch 22 have thought me so many lessons in life that will always be treasured especially in my shooting habit..... Biggest thanks to Mr. Rocky Parroco for the knowledge shared to us and for inviting me to in some Dubai Camera Club events and meeting amazing people. To OPPPS senior trainers and the rest of its members its a great pleasure to meet you all.

I graduated Basic Photography last April 1, 2011. It was the best graduation with the theme of retro 70's and i guess i am not into it much because i just want to be colorful that night with a touch of modern retro clothing i guess. check the slides of pictures for a quick look on how much batch 22 enjoyed that night at Sheraton Hotel Deira.
